Head of Unit Account Payable (f/m/d)
Field of Activity
Finance Operations is part of the Financial Accounting & Controlling area of Deutsche Börse Group. Finance Operations is the central operational hub for core finance processes of all major legal entities of Deutsche Börse Group. Finance Operations covers P2P Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, Legal Entitity Closing and Statutory Reporting for appr. 70 legal entities especially in Germany and Luxembourg. At our location Prague we have three teams: General Accounting Services & Banks , a Master Data Management Team and a Vendor Invoice Management and Asset Processing Team. As Head of Unit VIM/AP you will be responsible for managing a team of +10 accountants working in the fields of accounts payable and asset accounting. The main responsibility of the team is to manage the Accounts Payable Subledger for approximately 70 legal entities belonging to Deutsche Boerse Group. As part of the Finance Operations management team you will also be involved in business projects and strategic change projects. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance Operations based in Frankfurt.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Organise the day to day business of AP ledger accounting
- Monitor the quality of operational processes based on KPIs and initiate improvements where appropriate
- Continuously identify potential for efficiency improvements
- Manage a positive relationship with stakeholders in Luxembourg and Frankfurt, such as Accounting, Purchasing and IT
- Coach and develop your team members
- Represent the Accounts Payable domain in our SAP S4 Hana migration project
Qualification & Skills
- At least three years’ experience in a management capacity
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards (university degree in Finance, ACCA or equivalent certification is a plus)
- Good working experience with SAP ERP is a must
- Good organisational skills with the sense of prioritization and ability to quickly adapt to new urgencies
- Strong communication skills
- Strong networking skill
- Proficiency in written and spoken English. French and German language skills will be an asset
