AD Market Surveillance – Backend Developer with SQL

Deutsche Börse Group is one of the largest exchange organisations worldwide. As a financial marketplace organizer, the company provides a portfolio of services covering the entire process chain: securities and derivatives trading and clearing, netting and transaction settlement, custody and provision of market information. Information Technology designs, builds and operates the technological infrastructure of the company. These highly integrated and automated IT systems are essential to our success.
The AD Market Surveillance team is responsible for development and maintenance of a database system, which stores and processes trading data for multiple markets from the stock exchange Xetra, which is key part of Deutsche Börse system landscape. Services include availability of cash trading data as well as data analysis and reporting to external customers.

Working experience in these domains is a valuable asset

  • C/C++ programming
  • OpenVMS or Unix
  • Oracle or other relational database
  • Background in system design and scalable systems

Knowledge of these areas will be of advantage

  • Basics of Cobol programming
  • Scripting languages
  • Financial markets
  • Big data (Hadoop, Spark)
  • One of the following cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure
  • DevOps and deployment experience, e.g. with GitHub, Terraform, Circle Ci,

Following points are essential

  • Technical degree or relevant experience with software development
  • Fluent English is a must, German is an advantage
  • Good communication, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Willingness and patience to get familiar with large systems

Additionally, you need to be a team player with advanced collaboration skills, highly motivated and flexible.
